here is a little information of my model flying history.
Encouraged by my father I developed an early interest in model aircraft, as well as full size aviation.
My father during his National Service at RAF Abingdon.
Happy to pose with my father's Cox 0.49 powered, free flight Durine Turbulent.
Starting with (Keil Kraft) Free Flight rubber powered models, I progressed to flying powered free flight, then move on to control line & of course finally to radio controlled models.
Radio control started with a single channel slope soarer (Veron Impala) but that quickly progressed to more channels & some cracking aerobatic slope soarers. I eventually thoroughly enjoyed flying the excellent - & much used Chris Foss Phase 6.
Moving away from the slope (due to work) required i/c power. Models ranged from a (massively) over-powered Wot 4, to a sedate but fabulous 'Great Lakes Special' Biplane (still one of my all-time favourite aeroplanes).
I now specialise in precision flying & in particular flying precision aerobatics.
